Mary D. Ellis is a partner with the firm. Ms. Ellis practices primarily in the areas of estate planning, estate administration, real estate matters, business law and tax law. She is a member in good standing of the Virginia Bar Association and the Chesterfield/Colonial heights Bar Association. She is admitted to practice in all State courts, the U.S. Tax Court and before the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.
Ms. Ellis received her undergraduate degree from Roanoke College, Cum Laude in 1992, and her law degree from the Dickinson School of Law of Pennsylvania State University in 1995. During the 1995 academic year, Ms. Ellis was a visiting student at the T.C. Williams School of Law, University of Richmond. Prior to joining Bourdow and Bowen in 1997, Ms. Ellis was with the Disciplinary Appeals Unit at the Virginia Department of Corrections.
